How to use our online tuner and metronome.
Tuner instructions.
There are two ways to use our
tuner. Click the ON
button for automatic tuning. The tuner will play each string's sound three times
before advancing to the next string. This method is hands free. The other way is
to click on any of the string's notes
E A D G B E
to play that string's sound. To stop auto
tuning press OFF
when it appears. In auto tuning mode the tuner will stop after playing the high E
string.
Metronome instructions.
The metronome is divided into
2 sections. There is a Tempo section where the desired tempo is dialed in. To
use put the cursor on the tempo shuttle knob (where the red part is) and click
and drag the knob either up to increase the tempo or down to decrease the tempo.
Dragging the shuttle a small amount will slowly change the tempo as dragging the
shuttle 90 degrees will change the tempo rapidly.
There are two timers on the
metronome. They are there for you to develop your practice regiment. The Total
Time reflects the total
amount of time you have practiced. The Elapsed
Time is the time between
pressing Play
and Stop.
For example, lets say you want to practice your scales 30 minutes. 15 minutes
will be major scales and 15 minutes will be minor scales. Pressing Play
will start the metronome and the timers for you to practice your major scales.
After 15 minutes of Elapsed
Time you will press Stop.
Pressing Play
again will start the metronome and the timers for you to practice your minor
scales. After 15 minutes of Elapsed
Time you will press Stop.
The Total Time
will reflect 30 minutes of practice. This makes it easy to practice any
regiment. Pressing RESET
will reset the Total Time.
The Change Tone
button will change the sound of the metronome.
Enjoy.
NOTE The metronome uses your computer clock for it's timing. If you find the beat's varying try closing any applications you are running in the background while using the metronome. You should have no problems with a fast computer. This metronome has been developed and tested on a Pent ll 350mhz computer.
