Who's Skinny?
I'm a 51yo bloke from OZ, married to Annie for nearly thirty years. I've got
two kids (boys) 27yo and 24yo.
I have four passions in life....Guitar,
Flyfishing, Cooking and photography (actually..5 passions if sex is included).
I've been playing guitar since 1974, Blues, Beatles, Neil Young, add
infinitum.....whatever anybody was willing to show me, I would learn.
Given
the length of time I've been playing I should be a lot better player than I am,
ya get that! Had the Internet existed, when I started playing.... it probably
would have saved me 20 years of "nearly" getting it!
Nowadays, I can utilise
places like Zingingstrings to learn
from real musicians, who are all more than willing to share their knowledge.
Interests...
Annie calls me a hobbyholic, I've always been obsessive when it comes to
the things I love doing.
Apart from
guitar.....
Surfing I've surfed since I was 16, for
fifteen years this pastime ruled my life, work, travel, relationships (yep,
Annies a ex surfie chick) all revolved around finding waves. Nowadays I'm
a fairweather surfer.
Flyfishing Camping, 4WDing and depleting trout stocks in the Vic alps :) When you take into account the amount of alcohol consumed on these trips, it's no wonder I enjoy them so much.
Photography Black and white mainly, sometimes some colour slide. The only time I use colour print is for weddings. I've recently got a digital cam, and considering doing calender shoots.
Cooking Don't know why I got Into cooking, as long as
someone else chops I love it.
Occupation I build
houses.
